roadrunner

on the eleventh floor,
suited up,
dazzling lights,
twelve-course dinner,
and refined flavors,
costs 400$.

by the roadside,
zinc roof,
plastic stools,
questionable hygiene,
tastes like mother's cooking,
costs 4$.

dinners with c-suite execs,
discourses with a white-haired old-man,
beer with a french train-worker,
connect.

don't get lost in marketing,
chasing Ferraris,
APs,
yachts,
these things don't matter,
the average man today,
lives as lavishly as kings of old,
enough.

suck out all the marrow of life.
